Lola && Aiden --Lola had just arrived at Maybell Academy the day before. Memories of her father's death had flashed through her mind on her first night, and after waking up because of them, it'd caused a sleepless night. Normally she would sneak out and go hang with Aiden, but she didn't quite know rules and standards around Maybell, yet, and didn't want to draw any attention in any way. But after the long night, the sun peeked out just a little, and she was up and getting ready to go out. She thoroughly brushed her long, black hair, then putting it in a low, bouncy ponytail. She put on some capri's and a tanktop, then headed out to the stables. She practically ran, excitement running through her body at the thought of seeing Aiden. He was so confused, and Lola could tell that he wasn't exactly happy about leaving the Dacy Ranch. When Lo arrived, she had a big grin on her face.
--Her smile turned to a frown as she didn't see her equine's head sticking out of the stall as usual. Worry begun to ran through her, and she picked up her pace. She was a few feet away when she heard a happy snort and saw a big, black head pop out. She smiled again, parting her lips and laughing. She ran her hand over down his big head, and he snorted. She would swear her horse was smiling back, but of course no one would believe her. Hey, Aiden! Here ya are, she said cooly, grabbing a sugar cube out of her pocket. She handed it over, and he crunched it in two bites, then shook his head up and down as if to say it tasted so good. Back, she commanded. The stag moved backwards, allowing his owner to enter the stall. She had an English Saddle and Harness from the tack room, two which she'd brought with her from home. She also had a white blanket with the name 'King Aiden's Soul' sewn in cursive with black thread. She lay it down on his back, then put on the saddle accordingly. Next she placed on the harness, patting him on the neck with a smile. She led him out of the stall, and headed torward the jumping arena.
--Her equine did everything; jumping, barrel-racing, and racing. He didn't do cross country, because all of those things in a row was just too much. Instead they entered competitions on days that where best for the two. Lo opened the gate, leading Aiden inside the ring. Next she climbed up, sitting on the saddle. She grabbed another sugar cube and leaned over to hand it to her horse. Patting him once more, she turned him to face the nearest jump. She commanded him to go, and off he went. He gained proper speed, and then one, two, three, whooo! Easy as that, jump done. She immediatly derected him to the next, and then the next, and then next. She completed five jumps before stopping him. She led him over to the railing where she got off. She wrapped her arms around his neck, still a grin on her lips. Good boy, Aiden. She chuckled slightly. Then placed a light kiss on his forhead, which she had to stretch onto her tippytoes in order to reach.

GEMMA & MOON[I'm a New Kid on the Block,] ['Though I may not be Johann Sebastian Bach.] [So we may not write the songs we sing,] [But look at Elvis, he sold his soul and you crowned him King.]
[You see, I've got everything that I always wished I had.]Gemma’s alarm went off early that morning, the junior always did like waking up early to the crisp fresh air of Montana and going out to train. On the weekends she usually went out on hacks, but during the week she trained. Usually jumping or dressage, occasionally the pair would do some cross country training. Yawning slightly, the blonde got out of bed, glancing around the dark room to where her sleeping dorm mates lay, quietly breathing. Well, at least her dorm mates weren’t annoying and snore or talk in their sleep or something. That could just ruin anything. Fumbling around in the dark room, she found the bathroom and closed the door before turning the light on. She ran a brush through her curls then swept them up into a messy bun, and brushing her teeth. She would grab a granola bar before she went to the stable, she was too thrilled to actually take the time and eat a proper breakfast. Coming out of the bathroom, she stripped off her PJ’s and grabbed beige breeches and socks, pulling them on before grabbing a baby blue t-shirt, for being summer, it wasn’t all that hot in Helena – so different than San Francisco. Glancing at her reflection, she nodded. She didn’t look like a movie star, but it was absolutely perfect for riding. Grabbing her boots, she sprinted out the door and down the stairs, coming outside to the brusque air of the early morning. Slipping her black leather tall boots on, she walked quickly towards the stable, bun bobbing on her head with each step and emerald eyes focused directly on the stable. It was such a pretty place here, but she always found herself missing home. Gemma hoped she would get over that soon, but at least the girl had Moon, right? Entering the stable, she noticed a few students already down her, apparently just as obsessed as her. She glanced around, feeling slightly lost until she remembered where Moon’s stall was, the crazy stallion separated slightly from the other horses. She could hear snorting and huffing coming from his stall, and then as he realized the footsteps were coming towards him, his head popped over the top, deep mocha eyes furrowed upon Gemma. Moon wasn’t the type of horse to nicker, instead, he snorted. She laughed, patting his nose gently as she walked by his stall, the horse watching as his girl passed. She made her way to the tack room, found her locker and grabbed her grooming box, lugging the heavy thing back towards his stall. This time, Gemma entered. She laughed, pushing the Hanoverian aside as she entered, rubbing his jet black neck roughly. “Hey there buddy,” She said. “Plan on giving me a hard time again today?” She asked the horse, and of course, he would. That was how he was. Stubborn and feisty, he was a chore to ride. But somehow, Gemma loved arguing with him, she much preferred it over arguing with humans anyway. Grabbing an apple slice from her pocket, she slipped it under his mug and he lipped it up greedily, turning away from Gemma so that his rump was towards her. “That’s the thanks I get, huh?” She said, taking the curry comb and rubbing it over his sleek and shiny body. She watched as stray hair was uprooted and fell to the stall floor, only revealing an even shinier coat. She worked quickly, grooming him with each brush and tool she had, leaving picking his hooves out for last. Grumbling as Gemma realized that was the only thing left, she grabbed the pick, bending down to lift his hoof up. “Pick it up, Moonie. Please?” She grumbled, though no hoof was lifted in her favor. Snorting slightly, Gemma pressed her weight against his shoulder blade, but Moon was stubborn. After five minutes of pushing, he finally lifted his hoof up, and if a horse could be smirking, she was sure that was what the stallion would be doing. After ten minutes, she finished with his hooves, wondering why she put up with such crap from a horse. Though she handed him a second apple slice, for at least picking his hooves up. One time, she hadn’t been able to catch him for two weeks, and that had been trouble. She exited the stall, rushing to get the ebony close contact jumping saddle and a fresh ivory saddle pad, outlined in black. She grabbed the bridle with a snaffle, but wondered whether a harder bit would be necessary. Whatever, she would ride him out. Grabbing white polo wraps and a jumping crop, she waddled back to the stall, weighted down with all the tack. Now it was time to tack him up, just fun. Grabbing the saddle pad, she laid it down before resting the black saddle upon it, matching the horse’s pure black coat easily. She tightened the girth, avoiding the stallion’s snaking head in protest, grinning. “I win.” She said with an amused smile, patting his neck. She grabbed the bridle and slipped the bit into his mouth with rapid skill, tightening the buckles. Grabbing the polo wraps, she quickly winded them around each leg, then standing back up and admiring her handy work. Finally, it was time to ride. Grabbing the reins, she led him out of the stall and out of the stable, leading him down to the jumping arena. There was one person already jumping, but that would be okay. She led Moon into the arena, unrolling the stirrups and tightening the girth another hole. Satisfied, she slipped her foot in and in one, two, three she bounced herself up into the 16.3 hh stallion’s saddle. Her heels sank immediately, and her back straightened up. Her emerald eyes were set forward as she gathered the reins and nudged the fidgeting Hanoverian forwards towards the rail, keeping him collected at a walk, maintaining his urge to speed. Gemma watched as the girl flew over the jumps, and she smiled as she took a break, deciding to be friendly. “That was really good.” She said, a small smile plastered across her features.

Lola && Aiden --She soon saw another team enter, and her looks upon her face stayed neutral. She watched, hoping to see the apparent Hanoverian jump the jumps. She loved watching others, but watching wasn't nearly as fun as jumping them yourselves! She was put in a place of oddity as the girl and her equine came walking over to Lola and Aiden. She then realized how the two had been her a few minutes after her and Ai. She listened to the girls words, and was happy to have recieved a compliment. Thanks. She said, adding a smile to her lips as well. She felt as she where forgetting to say something and then it dawned on her; names! Oh, I'm Lola, and this is Aiden, short for King Aiden's Soul, she said with a hint of pride. She walked the black Friesian a bit closer to the other equine in order to see if they where to get along or not.
--Aiden snorted lightly, reaching over and touching noses with the other stag lightly. He then pulled away, snorting as a sign that he had memorized the scent. Next Lola reached over and stroked the Hano's nozzle, a wide grin appearing on her face. And what's this guy's name? Yours? It always happened that she added something onto her sentances at the last miniute, and well, sometimes it seemed annoying to others. She pulled out an granola bar from her pocket, her snack, and hopped onto the railing. She secured Aiden's rope on the railing right next to her. Before taking a bite, she said one last thing to her new aquaitence. So, let's see ya'll do the jumps, then we can have a little contest, just for fun, she said, adding a playful chuckle at the end. That was Lola; a competition for fun, add a laugh to make the other know she wouldn't pout if she lost, and then one two three go!
--She then brought the apple to her mouth, taking a bite out of the crunchy, juicy fruit. Aiden whinnied, reaching over and sniffing her ear and nudging at Lo's cheek. She chuckled, pushing his head away carefully and lightly in a joking way. She took another bite, and hi came over, lowering his neck and leaning his head on her legs. Raising her eyebrow, she laughed some more. She'd never seen such a horse in her life, and Aiden was definatly one of a kind. Okay, whiney baby, you can have the rest in a minute. At fist the stallion brightened up, but snorted at the 'just a minute' ordeal. Lola bit out a few more chunks, then reluctantly handed it out to the Freisian who ate it in just a few chews. Big mouth! She thought with a smile. Ai pricked his ears, knowing she was thinking about him, mayble even calling him names in her mind. Oh just watch the other team do the jumps! She said, pulling his rope to make him face the ring in order to watch.

GEMMA & MOON [I'm a New Kid on the Block,] ['Though I may not be Johann Sebastian Bach.] [So we may not write the songs we sing,] [But look at Elvis, he sold his soul and you crowned him King.]
[You see, I've got everything that I always wished I had.]Gemma’s emerald eyes glanced to the other pair, a soft smile still cast upon her elegant features. She continued working her riding trying to keep Moon at a collected walk, she wondered if she would be making an embarrassment to herself if she did jump. But wait, she always did eventing, what was the difference? “Oh, I’m Gemma. And this guy is Moon, or Moonfleet if you must be fancy.” She said with a small giggle, giving the stallion a rub on his brawny ebony neck, keeping her eyes ahead of her while giving occasional glances back to Lola. When Moon and Gemma passed the Friesian and Lola, she watched slightly tensely as they touched muzzles, she couldn’t risk any harm for either horse or rider. And stallions had that tendency to do what they felt like, when they felt like doing it. But, it was lucky because Moon was rather good around other horses, even stallions. She watched as he returned the nudge before getting a pat from Lola. Gemma smiled and then nudged the Hanoverian forward, sinking her heels and green eyes looking straight forward. They moved into a trot, Moon’s gait more of a bolt at first, with long extended strides. She sat into the strides, working her seat and aids as she brought the stallion back into a working trot. Like I said, Moon was no easy task. He even proved to Gemma that he was a piece of work. As soon as she thought Moon was behaving in a simplistic trot, he began a leg yield into the center, head tucked into his chest and legs crossing. After they crossed the whole way though the arena, she slipped her outside leg back and asked for a canter and an immediate flying lead change, which he did indeed do. However, along with that, he gave his routine of five bucks in a row down the long side of the arena. As always, Gemma sat them out, scolding him in the middle of them, keeping his head up so it was harder for him to do. She had worked so hard with him before, and they had gotten it down to one buck, but with the move from California to Montana, it was back to five. At least for a little while. When he finished with the bucks, she collected her reins, working his bend as they went around the corner, her back straight and eyes set forward in determination. “Yeah, that sounds fun. Let me just give him a little warm up. He likes to misbehave though…” She said vaguely, giving Lola a slight glance as she said this, though most of her mind was on the canter. Giving the brute a quick rub on his black neck, she directed him towards the first jump, a 2 foot vertical. It would be like a baby step to him, but perfect for warming up. They came closer to it, and a stride before she slipped up into her two-point, eyes on the next jump, heels down and back straight as they spring over the jump. Of course, Moon over jumped it by about a foot, and as they landed gave a little bolt of enjoyment, making Gem brace against the sudden speed. It should have been expected though… Building herself back up, she turned him towards the next 2’3 oxer, extending his stride slightly so they wouldn’t have to jump early and risk knocking it. And indeed, it was a perfect jump, nothing went wrong. Giving her stallion an appreciative pat, she guided him towards the next jump – the 2’3 cross rail. They sailed over that too, Moon snorting with each stride that he took, excited now for his work. He gave Gem a hard time when you first got on him, but after a bit of warm up and a little showing who was boss, he would calm down enough for work anyway. She guided him towards the next two jumps, remembering everything her mother told her to work on and doing just that, finishing with a joyful bolt. “Woah Moonie.” She said quietly, purring slightly to bring him back down into his extended trot, bending him as she turned him in to do a circle and then slow to a walk. She gave him another large pat and then turned him towards Lola and Aiden, a large smile crossing her features. “Moon’s a piece of work, but he is amazing in shows.” She said with a shrug, removing her booted feet from the stirrups and loosening some contact with the reins. She glanced back at the jumps she just did, then back at Lola. “So, what did you have in mind for this competition?” She asked, Gem always liked to have a little fun when she had to do work anyway, it made things more enjoyable. Especially since riding Moon was a task in the first place.
